Life's Funny Moments

When I photograph people, it is usually un-staged, just a knee-jerk reaction to something that has intrigued me.

I was going through some old photos of mine and I came across this one. A few years age I attended an art show in downtown Dunedin. It was a typical hot summer day in Florida. Looking for a place to get something cold to drink I scooted between two art trailers towards a local pub.  There were two old men sitting there with a sign above their heads that made me laugh. I couldn't resist. I approached and asked for permission to photograph them. The gentleman on the left said "sure thing sweetie! But just to let you know, I see you, but I am deaf,
so if you want me to do understand you gotta come closer so I can read your lips. Oh yeah and the guy next to me, he is blind but he can hear you."

I took the photo, thanked them, and proceeded to find my cool drink!
